Charo Oquet is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and cultural producer working across geographies, histories, and forms. Born in the Dominican Republic, her practice is rooted in ritual, collective memory, and the transmission of knowledge through people, symbols, and lived cultural practices. Moving fluidly between painting, sculpture, performance, and collaboration, Oquet approaches art as a relational process rather than a fixed object. She has lived, worked, and exhibited in the Dominican Republic, the United States, and New Zealand, where she spent four years developing research-based work shaped by place, migration, and ancestral continuity.
